We're Ray and Kelly, and twenty years of photographing weddings taught us the same thing over and over: people are at their most beautiful the moment they stop performing for the camera. So we don't ask you to pose. We point you toward good light and each other, offer a quiet prompt instead of a rigid instruction, and pay attention to what's actually happening. Almost every couple tells us the same thing before we start: we're awkward in front of a camera. Here's the good news: you don't have to be. That's our job. Twenty years in, very little rattles us, and that steadiness is part of what we bring to your day, not just the photos afterward. We're based in Wisconsin and shoot everywhere from Devil's Lake's bluffs to backyard receptions, with a soft spot for small, close-family weddings at the state parks we've spent two decades learning: where the light falls, when the wind picks up, which trail actually leads somewhere quiet. We're not chasing perfect photographs. We're after true ones: the kind that keep telling you who you were, years after the day itself is over.
