I'm Steve Gerrard, a British documentary and portrait photographer based just outside Montreal. I moved here from the UK in 2014 with my wife Evelyne and our three sons, and I've spent nearly 20 years behind a camera on five continents. Most of what I do is documentary. I stay out of the way, follow the day as it unfolds, and let the real moments happen, then make a few portraits that belong on your wall. I've photographed more than 500 weddings, and I also shoot corporate events, professional headshots and personal branding for people who want to look like themselves and not a stock photo. Before photography I was a DJ, playing everywhere from Wembley Stadium to Exit Festival, so music has always run through the work. I've been an accredited photographer for artists like Pearl Jam, Beyoncé and Billie Eilish, and my images have appeared in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, NME, Kerrang! and on the Tonight Show. Whatever I'm shooting, the approach stays the same: real, honest, cheese-free, and yours.
